Dear Church Family,
I wanted to update you on our weekend services plans. After extensive reviews of the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic, and conversations with key leaders in our church, we have decided, out of an abundance of caution, to cancel our weekly services until further notice.
Our decision is based on sincere care for you and your family. Our belief is, given the uncertainty surrounding this virus, it is prudent for us to take these important precautions.
This was obviously a hard decision to make, but as we contemplated what we should do, we are motivated by love and not fear. We have faith that this is the best decision, given what we know about the health risks associated with this virus.
While we are cancelling church services at our physical location, our plan is to offer a modified media version of worship to start on next Sunday. Please consult our website for updates at http://chmbc07.org.
Thankfully, in today’s world of technology, we have wonderful online options for worship in situations like these. While we always prefer community connection, we can still connect through technological means. Please consult the website for updates. Also, please know that your continuing support is important during this time and giving options are available on line through the website.
As we move forward we will be providing you additional updates. Know that we love you and continue to pray for you and your family, for our community, nation and world! Receive God’s peace, stay strong in faith and fear not!
Pastor Glenn
Hello, my name is Dorothy Williams. I am a member here at CHMBC and am also the Youth Director. In March when the children were unable to return to school after Spring break due the pandemic, the Pastor and members here at the church saw a need to provide at least one meal for vanderable children in our community who were perhaps defendant on the school's lunch program for necessary food. Thus, the Chapel Hill Youth Healthy Meal Ministry was born. Through this ministry and donations from church members, the Glenn foundation, and the American heart association, we have been able to provide healthy meals and snacks to over 100 children per week. Your generous donation to this ministry will not only help us continue to provide food to these children, but other necessary supplies they may need when they return to school. Thank you on behalf of myself, the pastor, members of this church, and children of this community.
